Students will use the basic tools of a typical digital graphics program to create a cartoon face of themselves. The graphics program used here is Paint.NET. Students use a picture of themselves or they can use one of the included practice pictures to create their cartoon face.
Instructions:
1) Open a head shot picture of yourself in Paint.NET. Resize or crop as necessary.
2) Add a new layer on top of your original face picture.
3) Use the line tools to trace your face on the new layer.
4) Hide or remove the original face picture, showing only the tracing layer.
5) Color the face tracing areas using the bucket fill tool. Add details as necessary.
6) Save your work, then insert the finished graphic into a word processor and print.

3) Open a blank "Wanted" poster background image.
4) Add your headshot layer on top of the "Wanted" background image.
5) Add some text "Wanted, Reward" and other details.

1) Open a new file and set the size to 800px x 800px.
2) Open your headshot picture as a layer (Import from file). Color your clothes and background with the bucket fill or paint brush.
3) Resize your colored picture to about 300px wide. Slide it to the top left corner.
4) Make a copy of your newly colored image.
5) Paste the copy into a new layer. Slide it to the top right. Change the Hue and Saturation.
6) Paste the copy into a new layer. Slide it to the bottom left. Change the Hue and Saturation.
7) Paste the copy into a new layer. Slide it to the bottom right. Change the Hue and Saturation.
8) Save your work, then insert the finished graphic into a word processor.
