Q.  How do I get information regarding the registration process at Our Lady’s School.
A.  Please call the Admission Office at 337-527-7828.

Q.  Is it possible for my child and I to visit Our Lady’s School?
A.  Yes, you may call the admission office and schedule a day for a visit.

Q.  Does Our Lady’s School offer scholarships?
A.  OLS only offers a need-based financial aid program which can help award money to families or a portion
       of the tuition based on their need.


Q.  What degrees are typically held by your faculty?
A.  All our teachers’ are state certified and degreed.  Six carry Master’s Degrees.  We currently have 2
      teacher’s working on their Master’s in Education Degree.


Q.  What is the typical class size for all your grades?
A.  Currently, the average class room size is 18

Q.  What is the typical schedule for a school day?
A.  The first bell will ring at 7:40 am and end at 3:05 pm.  We can provide you with a more detailed schedule
       upon request.


Q.  What are your test scores?
A.  Catholic Schools in general always far exceed the state and national average.  OLS prides itself that our
       students not only score above the national average but, exceed in the state level also.  OLS sets a priority
       on Academics and Faith Formation.


Q.  Do you offer specialized programs for special needs students?
A.  We have on staff a full time Resource teacher and through Calcasieu Parish we have a part time Speech
       Therapist and a Mobile Lab that provides student tutoring.


Q.  How long has this school been in operation and do they attend Mass?
A.  OLS was established in 1953 and our students attend Mass every Wednesday.

Q.  Do you offer extra curricular activities like sports, clubs, etc.
A.  We currently offer sports for grades 4th – 8th grades.  Cheerleading, boys & girls basketball, football,
       track, volleyball and swimming.  OLS offers a wide range of clubs and extra curricular activities including
      Beta, 4-H, Student Council, and IDFY.


Q.  How safe is this school?
A.  Our school is always kept secure.  The front door is monitored by a security camera at all times.  All
       exterior doors are kept locked for your child’s safety.  All teachers are trained in Safe Environment through
       the Diocese.


Q.  Is there a registration fee?
A.  Yes, the registration fee is $200.00 per student
