Mrs. Richard's Pre-K 3

WELCOME TO OLS PREK 3

When you choose OLS PREK 3 your child will have a super start to their entire school experience.  It is never too early to become involved with your child’s education.  Education holds the key to your child’s future.  We study shapes, colors, numbers and the alphabet.  Many other lessons and studies are incorporated throughout the school year.  The students also enjoy the opportunity to play, play, and play.  At OLS we know that a child’s brain is still developing at age 3, keeping that in mind, we create experiences to stimulate that growth and development.  Our school has a loving Christian environment.  Our class consists of 18 students ages 3-4.  We have one teacher and one teacher’s aide.  Students must be 3 to enter the PreK 3 program.  Please feel free to contact the school at any time our door is always open.  Please hurry, we usually have a waiting list.  (337)527-7828

A note from the teacher, Mrs. Tracy:

I am Tracy Richard.  I am married to Tim Richard and we have 3 children.  We live in Carlyss.  My oldest daughter Kaylee, is a 6th grader here at OLS, she has been here since prek 4.  My only son, Tanny is in Prek 4 at OLS. Isabella is our baby; she will be in our Prek 3 class this year.  I attended McNeese State University and studied Early Childhood Education.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Child and family studies.  I taught pre k 4 for 3 years and was the librarian for 3 years.  This is my 2nd year to teach Prek 3.  This is my 8th year at OLS.  I must admit, this class is where my heart is, I enjoy the 3 year olds very much.

A note from Mrs. Tyra:

My name is Tyra Shelton.  I graduated from St. Louis High School.  I live in Sulphur with my 2 children, Madeline and Worth.  Madeline is going to be a 9th grader at SHS this year and Worth is a freshman at McNeese State University.  Both of my children graduated from OLS.  I have aided in several grades including, PE, prek 4, 3rd grade, music, pre k 3 and kindergarten.  This is my 11th year at OLS.  I am a certified paraprofessional.  I love my job with these 3 year olds
